We are conducting a national search for an experienced Director of Infection Prevention. Responsibilities for this high profile position will include: Planning, directing and managing the activities of the Infection Prevention Department; Working closely with hospital administration, hospital departments, and committees to carry out all functions incorporated into the Infection Prevention program; Serving as facilitator, educator, and resource for leadership and staff relating to Evidence-based Practice Infection Prevention; Guiding the organization in the implementation and support of infection prevention and control improvements and measurement methodology, which will assist in achieving high quality satisfaction and clinical outcomes; Instituting infection prevention measures to protect patients, staff, and visitors from suspected risk situations; Monitoring performance improvement activities as it relates to Infection Prevention and keeps the hospital up to date in fulfilling requirements from accrediting and regulatory agencies; Adhering to all rules and regulations of applicable local, state, and federal agencies and accrediting bodies; Actively participating in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

Experience Required: Bachelors Degree in nursing (BSN) or related health care field; Masters degree preferred; At least 5 years of infection prevention experience in an a large acute care hospital or multi-site hospital system environment; Managerial experience required; Certification in Infection Control (CIC) required.
